This is a smoked German-style Märzen beer. Smoky character in aroma and flavor is derived from the use of smoked German malt. The beer is toasted malty sweet and full-bodied with medium-low hop bitterness and Noble-type hop flavor. The aroma strikes a balance between malt, hop and smoke.

On tap at Destihl. Right on for the style. Dark reddish brown. Instant bbq smoke, wood and earthy esters. Taste is full, chewy and well carbonated. Finishes very smooth. I love any brewery that can produce a stellar rauchbier.
