Delirium Nocturnum is a dark ale of 9% alcohol. It is a triple fermentation ale using 3 different yeast strains and 5 different malts. Incredibly well-balanced for an ale this high in alcohol, the bouquet has an aromatic sweetness. The body is bursting with flavors of raisins, bittersweet chocolate, and aniseed. The finish is long and develops into a hoppy aftertaste.

The beer poured a solid dark brown with a thin tan head. The aroma was dark malt, sugar, fruit tones. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is sweet dark malt, molasses, and fruit.

Dark amber color with tan head. Spicy Belgium yeast aroma with sweet malts and some grapes. I also smell a bit of dark roasted malts like maybe chocolate. Huge carbonation that explodes in your mouth. Nice solid malt flavor with fruity and spicy accents. I really can’t pick up on the hops. They must be there since this beer seems to have the sweetness kept in check. Aftertaste can have a cherry or grape flavor along with caramel.

33cl shared bottle at BREW - Beers & Ciders, Bangkok. Pours slightly cloudy brown with a beige head. Aroma of alcohol, dark dried fruits (raisins) and malt. Sweet and fruity with a slightly bitter finish. Medium body. Quite nice but the alcohol is a bit too dominating. (2012-05-17)

Small bottle from LCBO. Pours a huge foamy beige head that sticks around for a while and has a dark brownish coloured appearance. Big thick soapy lace. Slightly excessive carbonation. Aromas of Belgian yeast, mild toasty malts, earthy and resinous hops. Flavours are mostly barley and toasted malts, a bit of the Belgian yeast mixed with earthy hops, some crystal malt, hints of herbal and grassy hops. Full bodied mouthfeel. A bit dry as well in the finish. Overall, alcohol is well hidden.

Pours out very dark brown with a massive foamy tan head. The aroma is light and simple I mostly smell raisins. The mouthfeel is best described as having a metal taste but it's the high abv. The taste is of yeast and bitter malt. It's a good beer but not worth 7 bucks.

WOW!! What the hell do these notes say from last week I have no idea, I’ll do my best though! Dark brown, small cap. Apple aroma, crap maybe peach now or is that only because there is a picture of a peach hidden under the foil on the cap…..Hey I’m doing pretty good so far interpreting my drunken scribble. Hints of cherry……….soup (don’t know what that means)…..sweet not gum but gum…….something something plums………….something something darkness……malty………… and the last phrase say’s “good beer but not but good”. GOOD JOB ME!!

Dark brown, low disappearing head. Sugary, yeasty aroma of alcohol, pears and almonds. Flavour of burnt sugar, dried cherries, candied pears, alcohol and raw yeast. Sugary finish of coffee and candied pears with a roasted undertone. Rough, sugary and unrefined.
