Bottle at Boreft. Clear dark ruby with light brown lacing foam head. Quite some yeast in bottom of bottle. Nice sherry like aroma and taste, not too bitter. More a barley wine taste. Some walnut. Pleasant warm. (Velp 201410)

Pours out in a hazy reddish amber colour with a small off-white head. Rich and sappy aroma of pine-needles, resin, black-currant and caramel with touches of cookies, caramelized sugar and grapefruit. Full-bodied with notes of resin, dried figs, pine, oranges, burnt sugar, caramel, over-riped pears and grapefruit. Long chewy medium-bitter finish of grapefruit, resin, caramel and figs. Really tasty stuff but tastes more like a west coast style US Barley Wine.

Bottled. Hazy deep nutbrown colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is bigtime hops and some caramel malts. Flavour is fruity and flowery hops along with some licorice and alcohol. Balanced and pleasantly drinkable. More a richly hopped barley wine than IIPA/DIPA.
