Canned (thanks TBone!). Deep ambery brown colour with mediumsized beige foamy head. Aroma is caramel, peach and some slight caramel malts. Flavour is caramel malts along with some nutty and raisiny notes. Some slight roasted notes in the finish. Dry palate. A nice dunkel.

Very dry and generally flavorless beer. Kind of what I expected though.

This dunkel pours a deep reddish color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is roasty malts and sweet. There is a touch of veggie that goes away rather quickly. A medium bodied dunkel. Hops are mild and earthy. Nice balance. Decent carbonation. There is a weird burnt sour taste that also seems disappear. Which is kind of weird if you ask me. It is perhaps a little sweet and a touch thin, but very drinkable. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

An interesting find while shopping at my local Trader Joe's (Hillcrest). While this is labeled a "Dark Ale", I'd say it's more along the lines of a Dunkel.
But that having been said, this is not a bad drop, esp. for the price and "exotic-ness" of a Vietnamese beer that doesn't taste like Oxen urine...!
Definite coffee notes throughout, with perhaps a coffee-mocha vibe in the flavor profile highlighting this the most. Could perhaps be a little on the sweet side of things in the finish, but I'm convinced that's such a huge crime in this instance.
I found this beer to go down rather nice-and-easy. Definitely one of the better beers I've had from SE-Asia. Worth a try, especially for the price.

A nice find at Trader Joe's for a really nice price. While I admit that most beers I have from SE Asia is somewhat....lacking in flavor and individuality this is a decent attempt at breaking that mold. A sweet malty aroma, with a decent helping of chocolate. Appearance is a deep clear brown with a nice off-white head and decent lacing. Mouthfeel is a little dull, and life-less but still not bad considering. It was still clean with nothing bad about it, other than being...average. Flavor is overly sweet with a slight note of coffee present. Overall, nothing that will make someone stand up and take notice, but it's still very drinkable.
