The beer pours a translucent dark cherry red colour with a generous bubbly light brown head that lessens to a rocky pile of foam. The aroma is caramel, light toasted malt, nuts, and some weak herbal hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is rather one dimensional with notes of sweet light caramel and some toasted malt notes, and a mildly bitter finish. A nice dunkel for a cool morning, but nothing outstanding.

Pours a clear copper-amber colour with a frothy warm cap that lasts a while and patchy foam lacing is left. Sweet nose with caramel and chocolate malts. Grainy and some plastic notes. The hops in the taste are even more plasticky at first, with the caramel and molasses taking over mildly in the middle to have a little dry grass in the finish. Gets better with time. Not bad for $2/can. DAB is always a cheap alternative to cheap cans that are better than average.
