OK, that's what I was hoping to find here in London, 2/1/08. A real ale like this in this non-pretentious, non-touristy shrine to great beer - the Wenlock Arms. This ale pulls as a beautiful mahogany color with a dense, creamy tan head. The nose is absolutely fantastic - nut-like but complex with fine roasted malts and a hint of fruity hops. The taste is complex as well - a blend of nutty roasted malt and assertive hops, followed by a long, crisp sweet-come-fruity-come-bitter finish. Fantastic!
