Brewed with Rocky Mountain water, Colorado-grown barley from the San Luis valley and hand-picked Colorado-grown hops in an extra finishing step. We use a collection of three hops; Chinook, Centennial and Cascade. Our finishing hops are a collection of hops grown in Colorado by friends and family. Colorado Native is a brilliant amber lager. Its malt character has been carefully balanced against select bittering hops resulting in a full-flavored, yet balanced beer. Fermentation with the oldest know strain of lager yeast in Colorado gives rise to a slight fruitiness which complements a citrus aroma character from a late kettle addition of Colorado-grown hops . Colorado Native Lager delivers a clean taste and dry finish that you won't find in any ale. Native is great solo, but also pairs well with a wide range of your favorite foods. Colorado Native is the only lager we know of in the world, brewed with Rocky Mountain water, only Colorado-grown Moravian barley from the San Luis Valley and hand-picked Colorado grown hops in an extra finishing step. Using Colorado-grown ingredients helps us minimize our carbon footprint; even our bottles and boxes are made in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Colorado Native is the perfect beer to compliment all of the activities of our Colorado lifestyle.

My brother bought me a sixer of this back from his trip. Pours a deep amber brown with a finger of off white head. Malt and biscuity aromas, slight hop notes. Taste is identical but more hops, malty and sweet biscuit but a nice balance of mild but present hops. It is very drinkable, balanced, and pretty tasty and at 5.5 abv is an easy session beer. Nice brew, thanks bro..

An unclear amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and straw, leading to a bitter finish

pretty much what i expected. the hops used were good, but pretty lightly used. amber in color, light-medium bodied. floral aroma, with a little sweet malt (flavor too), just a touch on the weak side.

Not bad...I am enjoying a couple of these for FREE at a hotel in Colorado. Wasn't sure since I have never seen it before but was hoping it might be decent since the area I'm visiting is known for creative microbrewing. I first noticed the hop aroma...flavor is hoppy, I'm a sick hop-head and want more hops but not too bad, especially for free!! I think I'll have another...and another...and....etc...

Sampled on 9/14/2010. This premium lager pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, grainy and cereal. A medium bodied Premium Lager. The malts are grainy, fruity and sweet. The hops are floral and spicy. Lively carbonation. Decent balance. Overall its a little sweet and a touch grainy, an perhaps a little watery. It’s more of an amber or Vienna than anything else. Much better than I was expecting, truth be told. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter with some hops.

It pours an amber color with thin light-tan head and some lace. An aroma of fresh malts, hops, citrus, and spices. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, citrus, tart, and a spice balance. Very refreshing and drinkable.
