    Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 4 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 3 | Overall: 3

I was on travel with a bunch of guys from work and one of them is a huge Eagles fan. So I asked around for the best place for beer and football in Norman, OK and was pointed to Coach's. I had been there before, but the beer didn't really stick out as great beer. I needed to try it again. Hearing they had an ESB on draught got the blood flowing and I decided to try it out. Little did I know it would be a poor choice on my behalf.

The beer came out and didn't look too bad. The beer was a medium amber color and had a slight white head to it. The aroma was barely there. I really couldn't pull much of anything in the aroma department out of the beer, which I thought was a little suspect.

The flavor department is where things took a turn for the worse. The beer was old and diacetyl tasting. The very light hints of bitterness were completely masked by this putrid butter taste that I just couldn't get off my taste buds. I couldn't finish the beer. There were others with me that also asked for this ESB and they were not pleased as well. I should have gone with the IPA which seemed to be much better, but I wasn't even going to try it. It was time to move on to another bar with better brew.
