Once upon a time a man walked into a bar where a friend of ours was tending the taps. He tried to order an Eagle Claw Fist, but got it wrong and asked for an Evil Crawfish. When we heard the story, after much laughter, we knew one day we’d make the beer. Finally, here it is, built off of ECF, but cleaner, meaner, less bitter, and dry-hopped with Citra, Simcoe, Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin.

Pours clear chestnut with a thick and rather persistent eggshell head. Aroma presents malty, hay, fruity, and subtle caramel and woody tones. Flavor features good woody, malty, caramel and pomme tones. Body is average, but fizz is strong and persistent. Get your evil on! Hail Cthulhu!

Bottle. Murky copper pour with a short dense tan head. Slightly nutty and malty with light caramel floral hops and hop resins. Taste is caramel, chewy malt, floral hops, citrus fruit and hop resins. Body is medium with a dense, creamy carbonation and a moderate lingering hop bitterness. Oily feel on the palate as well. Ends with more floral hops, caramel, dark bread, toasted malt, citrus and hop resins.
