This is the first Clwon Shoes product I wasnt a big fan of drinking. For a Barleywine it had the aroma and taste of bitter grapefruit rind. Diffintly is a beer I won't be buying and trying again.

Bomber from Central City. My first beer from this brewery. Hazy pour of mahogany under a resilient ivory head. Alcohol and malt for the aroma, maybe a citrus note of two. Superior mouthfeel, buttery smooth so that it just seems to slide down the throat. Flavour had malt, alcohol, hop, and some pine. And like RJA above, my tongue was tickled as well. Bitterness at the finish. Liked at very well, thanks.

Deep amber colored beer with a big frothy textured, beige-white head rising above. There's excellent hang time on the head. Thick splotches of film and a moderate ringlet are left. Malt nose. More bready malt and citric hoppiness in the tasting. Big alcohol bite. Bubbles tickle the palate.

On tap at 10 East. Huge aroma but nicely balanced. Big caramel sugar and grapefruit peel aroma. Flavors are traditional barleywine flavors, lots of sweetness, a sharp hop bite to keep it from unraveling. Toffee and pine really shine through. Very nice.

Fruity, malty aroma has a strong alcohol zing to it. Pours a clear chestnut with a thick, fluffy, rather small-bubbled buff head. Flavor has a strong, woody alcohol bite that lets you know this ain’t no wussy beer! Malty and fruity notes attend the ceremonies, but are subtle. Smooth texture has little fizz, but leaves a nice woody and fruity finish. Get to know this Uncle.
