Clocktower Ginger Beer first appeared on our taps in 2008 as CT GINGER. This time around our brewers have revised the original recipe as part of our 2018 Vintage Series. This new version of our traditional Ginger Beer now contains a little bit of MAGIC... in the form of HIBISCUS! Hence the name MAGIC GINGER! The hibiscus has been carefully blended with FRESH GINGER to create a full flavoured yet balanced beer. It pours orange-amber in colour. The aroma has pleasant ginger notes. Hints of cherries & cranberries come through from the addition of hibiscus. There is a subtle amount of ginger in the flavour that doesn’t overwhelm. The ginger & hibiscus flavour pairing makes this beer very refreshing!

Had at the brewpub in the Glebe, August 2018. Very slightly hazy, deeper amber colour with a beige head that tops the brew. The beer is quite yeasty, giving a sour-cheese nose, with fresh ginger in the background. The taste is pretty mild, but here the ginger shines above the rest. Hints of fruity malts. Quite easy to drink and refreshing with the light spices.
