The Ugly Sweater Ale is deep red in colour with brown highlights. The main flavour profile is rich in caramel with hints of spice and light floral notes, due largely to the selected hops. The addition of our yeast also gives The Ugly Sweater a slightly tart finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours very little bubbly head and goes away almost immediately. Has a dark amber appearance. No lacing whatsoever. Aromas of berries, malts and spices. Flavours of dark berries, kind of like wildberries, even cherries. Some tarty notes. Actually quite a bit bitter but definitely not the hoppy kind. Slick mouthfeel. Average carbonation. Not one of my favourite Clocktower brews in recent memory.

Pours a slight hazy brown-red colour with a tiny head that disappears quickly leaving no lacing. Spicy nose with a red grape juice base, notes of chocolate and mild coffee with time. Light tartiness in the mouthfeel. Nice light berry taste with hints of gooseberries and cherries. Better with food, as the roasted malts lingers and a little hoppiness is felt. Worth trying !
