Birra nera " da meditazione ". Produtto tutto l'anno. Gradi Plato 21.5 %. Imperial Russian Stout, forte, estrema, pericolosa. Premi : Medaglio d'oro Rate Beer " Best beer of Italy 2011 ". Medaglio d'argunto " Birra dell'anno 2011, Categoria 8. Disponibilita : 33 cl, 75 cl, kegs.

    Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 10

750 ml capped bottle bought at the brewery. Poured in the original Civale designed glass an unfiltered and opaque completely black coloured Imperial Stout with a two fingers tan and dense creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Low carbonation. Some lacing. The aroma is heavy roasted malts, coffee beans, cocoa powder, dark chocolate and strong vinous notes. The flavour is at first strong roasted malts, caramel, dark fruits, sunny dates, spicy, licorice before the aromatic hops emerged in a second step. The mouthfeel is creamy, thick, fulled and fresh. This full bodied Imperial Stout has a lingering sweety, caramel, and hoppy bitter finish. The 10 % alcohol ABV are very well hidden. What an impressive and intense Imperial Stout from the North of Italia ! Buonissima ! Viva la Birra de la Bella Italia !!
