Rated in Sept. 2010. On tap at Fruit in the Room at Cigar City Brewing. Pours murky copper with gold edges and tan head. The aroma is softer and milder than the bottle version of White Oak with hints of sweet tropical fruit wafting upward amid modest notes of spicy oak, citrus hops and a sense of pine hops. The taste is similar where the spicy oak is less forward than in the White Oak version interlaced with thin ribbons of citrus hops and sweet tropical notes. It ends both sweet with tropical-citrus and spicy with oak creating a pleasing palate and balance.
