Rated in Feb. 2011. Poured up on tap at Mark’s amazing Mr. Beery’s CCB Total Tap Takeover. It has a copper body with tan head. The aroma offers up firm to robust oak notes followed by malt sweetened grapefruit, orange juice, some mango tropical notes, a bit of pine resin and maybe faint pepperiness well off in the background. The taste has a great mix of oak, fully robust malt sweetened citrus to tropical fruit notes and then mildly drying oak and hop resin heading toward the finish. It ends with a sense of pepper faintly coming forward.
