Rated in Sept. 2010. On tap at Fruit in the Room at Cigar City Brewing. Pours murky copper with gold edges and tan head like the other IPA treatments sampled today. The aroma is earthy sweet kiwi, strawberry skins and pine to citrus like hoppiness creating an odd and interesting and intriguing mix at the same time. The taste begins with a pleasing sweet kiwi note and then picking up a ribbon of earthiness before the strawberry fruit flavors come to the surface with the pineapple, sugary grapefruit, a touch resiny and orange peel like hoppiness following right behind. The strawberry and kiwi linger there into the after taste.
