Pours amber in color with notes of caramel and slight hints of red delicious apple in the aroma. Flavor has a moderate earthy and herbal hop bitterness followed by moderate caramel notes that are subdued by floral hop bitterness in the finish.

Poured up on tap at Cigar City Brewing Tap room, in 2011, with deep clear copper body and off white head. The modest aroma offers up some sweet light skin like fruity esters, some roasted malts and wet hop spiciness. The taste enters pretty crisp and fresh with apricot and cherry like fruity esters mingling with fresh spicy hoppiness, a bit of lemon and then a modest level of roasted malts. The taste seems to dry out a tad into the finish.

What a rich amber colorede beer. Medium foamy off white head sits briefly atop. Small ringlet is left behind. Earthy, caramel, flowery profile in a light nose and bolder tasting. Medium bodied and velvet in texture. Not bad, Not bad at all.
