Rated in Feb. 2010. Growler pours deep amber with nice looking tan head. The aroma has some roasted malts, chocolate malts and a touch of burnt malts and possibly an earthy quality. The taste is nearly all Maduro with pleasing roasty malts, chocolate malts and dashes of burnt malts sprinkled around here and there. It does end with a bit of fruit tannin tartness that hints at the blueberry treatment. I guess I was expecting some fruitiness to this beer but there really wasn’t any. That’s cool though. For me it is a tasty Maduro with a modestly tannin tart finish.
