Rated in Feb. 2010. Growler pours deep amber with bright copper hues and off white head. The aroma initially has ample amounts of spicy Belgian yeast that seems to fade with time. I also get brown sugar, some black strap molasses like notes and nuttiness in the background. The taste begins sweet with brown sugar sweetness, mildly roasted malts and then yeasty spices. It later begins to pick up faint dark fruity esters before it rolls toward roasted malts and dry yet tasty nuttiness. The nuttiness help this go from fairly rich and sweet to dry and nearly refreshing into the finish.
