Big thanks to dak for sharing this beauty. The 750mL bottle pours with an inky black void of a body that leaves dark brown stains on the inside of the glass when swirled and at the edges it seems to have an infrared deepness to it. This classic Huni body supports a thin dark mocha colored head. The aroma offers up dark roasted malts, dark chocolate, a dash of chili pepper, a thin vanilla note, cinnamon and then more yummy dark chocolate at the end of the draw. This has a surprising lack of booziness for such a big beer and barrel aged. The taste starts smooth with rich velvety dark chocolate (love that!), dark roasted malt, smooth sweet mild bourbon notes and some vanilla. It moves into cinnamon and faint chili heat to midway with a thin ring of woody notes and a lingering mild bourbon sweetness. This is typical greatness here: smooth, velvety, rich and pure yum. WoW!
