Rated in 2010. On tap at the Brass Tap. Pours up deep gold with copper core, off white head and straight up sheet lacing coating every square millimeter of the interior glass surface area. The aroma is huge – knock you on your keyster cedar and then planks of wood, some herbaliness, some floral hoppy like notes, a resiny spice note and then sweet citrus hops off in the background. The taste has enough big pine and citrus hops to keep up with the cedar onslaught and herbal shrubbery spicy juniper notes. Amongst all the hops and cedar some modest malt sweetness surfaces from time to time. Smooth luscious body on this one too. I guess the juniper really pulls cedar forward or something. Very cedar-y beer.
