    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7

Rated in Feb. 2011. Poured up on tap at the Cigar City Tasting room with deep hazy copper body with amber hues and nice full nearly tight off white head. The aroma has a firm mix of malts, caramel malts, crystal malts and roasty malts to go along with a touch of apple like fruity esters. It also pushes up notes of orange and grapefruit like sweet cotton candy, spicy hops and some floral hops. The taste is medium in body and running to dry into the finish. It carries notes of malts, roasty malts and a touch of chocolate malts as well as growing spice and citrus hops that start mostly as flavor hops and grow into hop bitterness. Into the finish I get a touch of fruity esters where it continues into the after taste leaving both a roasty malt dry sensation as well as a resiny hoppiness behind.
