Rated in Sept. 2010. On tap at Fruit in the Room at Cigar City Brewing. Pours deep rutty mahogany with ruby red edges and mocha head. The aroma is dark roasted malts, chocolate brownie, some rye spiciness, a bit of chocolate and then a bit of burnt malts in the background. No really cherry noticed in the nose. The flavor is a pleasing mix of roasted malts and chocolate brownie followed by ribbons of spicy rye. As it becomes a bit warmer faint notes of cherry and tart cherry skin are noticed at the finish and into the after taste. Tasty brew.
