Rated in Nov. 2009. Growler pours out amber with tan head. The aroma begins big with pumpkin pie spices like cinnamon and nutmeg to go along with good old canned pumpkin and a sense of roastiness in the background. The taste starts with classic Maduro Brown Ale creaminess ushering in roasty malts, pumpkin pie spices and a mild amount of pumpkin. Midway it picks up a bit of chocolate, dark roasted coffee (or possibly dark roasted malts). The dark roastiness plays very nicely up against the spices and dash of pumpkin.
