On cask at CCB. Pours hazy amber copper with a big bubbled tan head and spotty lacing and roughly 70F beer temperature. The mild aroma likely due to the cask pour bringing out citrus, some pine and slick malt sweetness in the background. The taste is smooth and sweet with thick malts and resiny pine hops as well as citrus going from citrus hop flavor into citrus grapefruit resin hop bitterness. Midway and toward the finish a light amount of hop astringency is noticed which aids in drying out the sweet onslaught. This has a slick, rich and sweet body where the hops are unable to achieve equally footing . Got to rate this up higher since the more I drink it the more I enjoy it. Sure it doesn’t fit the style that well but I’ll drink it any chance I’ll get.
