As many of you know we are a very small brewery, with a very small staff. We spend alot of time hand crafting some of the finest, freshest beer that Ontario has to offer. But we have not been keeping the website site quite as fresh. So here goes. I'm going to try to go on here every couple of weeks and let you know whats going on. We are as always open for tours and tastings seven days per week. We have in stock right now. Our flagship Northumberland Ale, Our very hoppy West Coast Pale Ale. Also in our heavy weight dinner bottle series we have The Lactese Falcon a sour mash brown ale 8%alc./vol., Grains of Wrath our double IPA 8%. And our Like Water for Chocolate Porter 8% Also to let everyone know to mark their calenders May 3rd it our annual spring revival. A celebration our local music, food and beer. All to raise much needed funds for the Campbellford Hospital. Well its a snowy Saturday March 8th and will see if I can keep currant on the web site. Cheers

I tried this beer on March 17, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto, Ontario. The beer is a new beer from Church Key and is only available in 650ml bottles (according to Joe). The beer poured a nice dark translucent orangy-brown whitch a thick, creamy, off-white head. The aroma was very hoppy, with some hints of malt and licorice. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with high carbonation, and the bitterness was quite evident. The flavour was quite hoppy with definite grapefruit hints.

This beer is only available in bomber sizes, which is a good thing as this is an amazing beer if you like hops. The beer pours a transparent golden brown with a huge whitish head. The aroma was all about the hops. The floral scent is backed up with plenty of clove and coriander. The taste has that dry citrusy tone that hopheads clamour after.

Brewed by Church Key exclusively for Cafe Volo. Very nice all around beer. Nice going down. An almost perfect appearance, with a very filling mouthfeel. A tad too bitter which throws me a little, but it does make me want to try all of Church key's brews.
