Poured into the Chimay chalice with a cloudy yellow gold body topped by a medium sized white head leaving light lace. Aroma is clove and Belgian yeast with some light banana coming through also. Mouthfeel is very expansive and rich while being very drinkable. Flavor is sweet and smooth with light hops, candi sugar, banana and spices.

330 ml bottle into glass. Continental, Newtown. Sweet, toasty nose. Amber beer with film on top. Zingy and fresh. Like a Chimay lager. Fizzy and fun.

33cl bottle at Oluthuone Kaisla, Helsinki. Pours slightly hazy pale golden with a lasting white head. Fruity aroma with Belgian yeast, light citrus and some floral notes. Moderate sweet and quite fruity with a light acidity and bitterness. Nice and easy to drink. Flavourfull and delicious session beer. (2013-08-17)

Pours clear topaz with a thick and frothy parchment head. Aroma features pomme and stone fruit, floral, herbal, subtle malty tones. Flavor yields tangy and sweet stone and pomme fruit, floral and herbal character, fresh malt. Texture brings firm body and peppy fizz. Definitely spéciale.

The beer pours a very murky gold colour with a long lasting head that laces well. The cap is an off-white colour. The aroma is yeast, citrus, grains, candy sugar, and spices. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The spiciness comes through in the flavour, along with a definite hoppiness, rounded out by the grains and some honey sweetness. Similar to last weekend’s St. Bernardus Extra 4, but better.Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7
Best before end: 12/2017. Hazy light-golden colour, yellowish, with a creamy white cap, long retention and thick lacing. Beautiful aromas with spices over the citrus notes and sweet yeast. The taste is on the hoppy side with grassiness, but mildly bitter and not dry at all. Reminds me of a Belgian Saison.

Pours a huge frothy creamy white head and has a hazy golden appearance with some tiny sediments visible. Leaves some thick dirty lacing. Aromas of Belgian yeast, oranges, some other citrusy notes. Flavours are fruity, yeasty some subtle spice notes, sweet but not too much. Full bodied mouthfeel. Great retention. Easy to drink and fairly smooth. Good stuff.

Hard little bugger to find - purchased at The Beer Trappe in Lexington, KY. Been on my wish list since 2008. Really. Murky light brown pour, slight head, some lacing. Light spiced aroma and flavors, requisite Belgian yeasts, light body and mouthfeel, some floral and citrus. Underwhelming but as a personal WHite Whale, still satisfying. Another one marked off the list...
