As we are breaking through the dark of 2020, we hope for a brighter 2021! We used American 2-row malt with a pinch of rye malt and a blend of crystal and dark malts for a balanced roasted malt contribution. Then, heavily hopped with Mosaic, Cascade and Idaho 7 hops in the boil and Simcoe and Cascade dry hop for a rather light and fruity bitterness.

Pours coffee sable with a thick and lasting dark tan head. Aroma yields roast malt, woody dry hops, hints of coffee and chocolate. Flavor presents roast malt, woody and bitter hops, dark chocolate, coffee, subtle sweet citrus and smoky tones. Texture gives good smooth body and peppy fizz. This is a necessity if you like your beers dark AND hoppy.
