This IPA/Rye hybrid begins with a citrusy, earthy, slightly spicy hop nose. Soon the playfully assertive Cascade and Chinook hops flex their bittering muscles for balance and a clean finish to this medium-bodied ale.

Nice color, decent aroma, nice thickness about it.Rye doesn't need to come off as bitter, this beer seems to be more balanced to bitterness.Bottle conditioned beer, twist top- they could do better. I have 5 more to consume, maybe they will grow on me.

I tore down the Hop on Top, so I better give the rye IPA its due, which is, it's pretty good. It's not going to blow your socks off, but it's a smooth rye beer with a solid IPA base. It's very enjoyable and the hops are surprisingly aggressive from what I was expecting.
