Community plays a large role in Yukon life. This comes from the long winters and breathtaking wilderness surroundings. Taking a dark and warming beer style with local inspiration of black currants, we have come out with a beer that truly represents the people of the Yukon.

Part of Across the Nation mix pack. Pours a good size frothy tan head and has a dark amber, almost a burgundy like colour for appearance. Thick sticky lacing. Aromas of berries, herbs, some fruity notes. Flavours are sweet, fruity, lots of mixed berry notes. Some black currant notes, very subtle hints of cranberry and raisins in the finish. Average carbonation. Not bad.

Pours a clean copper colour with a beige creamy head, very nice retention and good lacing. Fresh chocolate aromas over the roasted malts with hints of coffee and vanilla. Some dark fruits even come out with time. The taste has some sourness it seems, but the milder roasted-chocolate malts helps out with some light bitterness in the finish. Kind of interesting and does not seem to be infected sour notes. Different, but alright.
