Collaboration with Social Project Brewing. The One That Got Away is a hazy double IPA with Barbe Rouge and Idaho 7 hops., brewed with our Arkansas friends Social Project Brewing Co. We know Idaho 7 all too well with its signature dank pineapple flavors, and we were excited to combine it with Barbe Rouge, a hop that we are using for the first time. Barbe Rouge is from Alsace, France. It is known for adding berry, currant and citrus notes. This beer ultra berry forward. It’s fruity, with a heavy emphasis on pineapple and papaya. It is slightly dank and has a beautiful sweetness. The mouthfeel is full, soft and fluffy. We get major notes of honeydew melon and kumquats, and a strong strawberry fruit roll up flavor that lingers on the tongue.
