We crafted Pharmhash with our favorite Dripping Springs buddies, Jester King Brewing. This beer is super complex, because of all the major contributors: the local malts, the tropical hops, the Strata hash and the Phantasm. The mash is made up of Tex Malt Llano Pilsner malt and their Denton County Wheat, along with raw wheat from MBS Seed Company in Denton. We used Strata Hash which imparts big, dank mango notes. We used Phantasm again because we can’t get enough. It’s derived naturally from Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc grapes from New Zealand. This powder injects a pretty insane bouquet of aromas and flavor enhancers. This beer has a beautiful aroma of candied tangerine and orange popsicles. There’s watermelon, cantaloupe and peaches, as well as heavy notes of pineapple juice and dried citrus. It’s a fruit medley with loads of sweetness and juice. It takes a few sips to really start digging into the flavors. It’s dripping with resin, full of flavor, and packed with passion fruit and mandarin flavors. It’s intensely hop saturated and the flavor lingers on your palate for long after it touches the tongue.
