This beer is a big classic American Style Stout with a lot of northwest influences. It is dark, rich and full bodied and definitely has a bit of a kick. The additions of roasted malt and flaked barley add to the creamy texture and mouthfeel that is the hallmark of a great stout. These grains add complex flavors and aromas to this beer, with notes of coffee and a hint of chocolate adding to the depth and complexity. Of course, the unknown unseen and yet to be discovered dark matter might be what really puts this beer over the top!
