We’ve all had those days where nothing seems to go right. You can’t find your keys, and then traffic is so bad you find yourself throwing a tantrum that would impress a two-year-old. You finally get to work, only to have your 9 bosses get all up in your business about TPS reports. You know what we’re talking about. Usually “gone awry” means things have not gone according to plan, but in the case of this Rye Double IPA, everything has gone right. A blend of Apollo and Bravo creates a complex flavor profile that includes hints of peach, pear, citrus and pine. We dry hopped this bad boy with 18 lbs. of hops, yet the hop bitterness is tempered by the sweetness of malt and spiciness of the rye. It’s the perfect cure for even the worst case of the Mondays. Now about those TPS reports... BREWERS NOTES: A blend of Apollo, Bravo, Willamette, and 05256 hops creates a complex flavor profile that includes hints of peach, pear, citrus and pine. It is dry hopped with 20 lbs. of hops, yet the bitterness is balanced by the sweetness of the malt and spiciness of the rye. Extremely drinkable for a Double IPA.
