Nice looking, dark yellow, decent foam head. Sweet aroma and taste, bit too much sweetness. Little dissapointed in this tripel, had higher expectations. (Rouen 201507)

330 ml bottle. Poured in a Ch'ti tulip glass a clear pale amber colored beer with a two fingers slight beige creamy foamy head that had a good retention. Active carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is toasted malts, fruity, figs, pears and ...alcohol. The flavour is toasted malts, grass, notes of caramel and an overwhelming alcohol presence. The mouthfeel is slight crispy and sweet,..sweet, with a touch of pepper. This full bodied beer has a dry finish. Indeed the strongest beer from the Castelain's range but for me not the best. Surely not a Bière de Garde but more in the Abbey Triple style.

Bottled. Yellowish golden colour with white foamy head. Halfbitter fruity aroma with soem barnyardish hints. Plummy sweet hayish flavour with hints of raising and rye. Aftertaste is breadish, hayish and hoppy. Quite dry.

Golden colour with a huge white head. Aroma is sweet, fruity, honey. Taste is sweet, honey and orange. Medium to full bodied, moderately carbonated. Lightly bitter finish. Nicely drinkable. I quite enjoyed this.
