Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8
I'm giving this an 8 based on quality and atmospher (homebrew-brewpub). In reality could me more like a high 7 though in both flavor and overall. Mouthfeel is smooth and clean, so that bumps up the rating somewhat. Could be a little maltier in flavor, but this allows the hops to stand out more at the end. For this style, this is actually on the upper end of the spectrum, just not sure I've had a brown that was over 4.0. This was my second sample from this brewer, and first of their darker beers. Had to get this out of the way, as it was the only brown/dark on their menu last night. Not something I would really seek out again for this price, with so many other samples on a rotating menu.
