A ruby amber colored beer with a big frothy textured, off white head rising above. There's good hang time on that head. It settles into a thin ringlet. There's caramel in the nose and grassy earthiness in the tasting. Light, crisp and effervescent. Good drink.

Pours red with a huge head. Sweet aroma. Hoppy goodness with a titch of malt. All around decent beer! Too bad my comment isn't long enough so now you have to read this part for no good reason.

Pours out in a clear reddish amber colour with a large bubbly white foam. Clean aroma of caramel, butterscotch and metal. Medium-bodied with clean notes of caramel, roasted malts, fudge and butterscotch. Nutty, grassy and spicy finish on a dense foundation of caramel and butterscotch.

Pours a transparent amber color with a large white head that leaves some lacing. Smells of floral hops and malts. Basic Red. Nothing too special here but a good example of the style in my opinion.

From a bottle. Pours a nice clear red with a white head. Aroma is a little off, malty overall, but there was something unpleasant underlying it that I couldn't put my finger on. Flavor was sweet with a nice hop presense. An ok beer, but I've definetly had better reds.

A nice Irish Red ale. has a kick to it that it. have a rich amber hue and a soft head. After taste leaves a little to be desired but a very nice amber ale.

2nd of my 3rd Casco Bay tries. Looks good in a glass with red color and nice dense head. Smell, however reminds me of a cheap domestic. Taste is kind of uninteresting. Very little hop presense. Doesn't taste bad just kind of bland and boring. Not bad if someone handed me one but too dull for me to buy in quantity. Try their winer porter instead.

Dark Red Color. Medium white foamy head. Aroma is malty and sweet, with some grapefruity hop aroma as well. A medium bodied amber/Irish Ale. Malts are nutty, fruity and sweet. Hops are grapefruity and citrusy. Nicely balanced. Very smooth taste. Perhaps a touch sweet, but a nice drinkable beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

I thought that this ale was good, no more, no less. A very basic red ale, well balanced hops and malts, wheighing heavier on the malt, though fairly basic and unexciting. I expected so much after the Old Port Ale and was left desiring more. very similar to Smithwick's, and equally disappointing. Not bad, however I did not feel that it was GREAT either.
