A ruby-amber colored beer with a big frothy textured, off white head rising above. There's good hang time on the head. A light bubbled ringlet is what is left behind. A caramel, sweet malty nose. Biscuit and toffee in the taste. Medium bodied.

Visiting smalltown Kansas, so picked this up in KC on the way. Ruddy orange with lofty foam that becomes a surprisingly rocky cap. Sweet and sour aroma, not nearly as earthy as I wanted, more like lemon-lime with caramel. Flavor is lemon followed by yeast & hop bitter, also lacking that musty/earthy quality I desired in an Irish ale. Very mild carbonation, good body, slick.

It pours a dark-copper and burnt-orange with a thick and foamy light-tan head and copious lacing. An aroma of caramel malts, light hops, orange and citrus, some raisin, chocolate, light bitterness, and mild spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth and lightly rich. Flavors of caramel malts, hops, orange and citrus, raisins, light chocolate, and spiciness. A bit watery, but still very good!

Bready and slightly hoppy aroma, with a one-finger head and okay lacing. Full-bodied, with a flavor of hops and slight caramel. Toasted notes and hints of biscuits in the aftertaste.

Ah, but aren'tcha a wee bit old to be believin' in Leprechauns... first time having this one here. Pours a nice ruby color with a medium head - unfortunatley very little lacing. Medium bodied and slightly sweet. Excellent flavor... I'm sure I'll have a Guinness on St. Paddy's Day, but I can guarantee this one will make the line up as well. Slainte'!

Another fairly solid, if unexciting offering from Boulevard. Pours a dark amber with a decent tan head. Malt, caramel and some hops evident in the aroma. Taste is pretty much the same. Plenty of bread and malt but balanced with a nice bit of hops.

My favorite Irish ale.. And I love this brewery. NIce amber in Color with some fizzy white head... Smells of malt and lucky charms... Really nice and ample carbonation that helps with the beers slightly bitter finish. Lots of sweet malt on the flavor but also has a distinctive hop backbone.... Very balanced and I wish it was made year round!

Beautiful ruby pour with nice lacing and a wonderful tan head. Sweet malts with just the right balance of hops. A little caramel, a litle friut, and a litle smoak. I really liked this one, thanks Louis, Bluesandbarbq.

Pours a dark maple red .. damn impressive foam on the pour..what about Emilia?? don't worry about her... light ruby syrup and light red fruits in the nose... big amount of bitters for an irish ... good lacing .. nothing much in way of mouth or complexity, just run of the mill but no offensive details in this one.. very drinkable, i'd have one on st pattys but thats it... i like how its more bitter than sweet, bcuz most american versions are too cloying... a well made beer that i gave extra points to for its structure rather than my real enjoyment +2 points...

I was pretty excited to see this one at Steve's. I'm also happy overall to find Boulevard beers in my neck of the woods. Poured a breautiful, translucent amber colour with a very fine white head. Plenty of carbonation, just not much in the froth. Aroma is pleasent, a little hint of caramel and smoke possibly hidden, very subtley. Flavours of something sweet, like maybe a little maple syrup or something- otherwise finishes slightly bitter. I guess i may be comparing this too much to the Great Lakes Irish because it's probably one of my favorites and most recent. Anyway, i'll be trying this agian for sure.
