A real pilsner beer. Superbly balanced, with a firm maltiness alongside hearty hop bittering and flavor notes. Very nice!

A great domestic version of a German Pils. Classic pilsner pour; brilliantly clear yellow with a lively white head. Nose of grainy Pils malt and flowery hops. Medium-bodied, moderate carbonation, smooth mouthfeel with a finishing crispness. Clean flavors of moderately sweet malt with a light lingering hop bitterness; finishes crisp and flowery-dry.

This one had a slightly fruity and very crisp taste. It poured a nice golden color with a nice head. It was somewhat aromatic and nice and smooth. Another winner from Capital Brewery.

I've had this several times at the brewery and in bottles, brewery is where it has tasted the best. Pours a light golden colour, small white head. Aroma is particuarly grainy, lightly hopped and a little pear. Taste is lighter, but satisfying, nothing overly exciting about this one.

Note the date of this reveiw, because Capital has revamped this Pilsner. They now use German Malted Barley in the brewing process and different hops. This is new from the way it was made from last year. The beer pours to a cloudy light golden hue, with small white head. Not much in aroma but it is pleasant. The new Malted barley gives this pilsner a smooth taste and the hops do not overpower the beer with bitterness, but rather give it a more balanced flavor that lingers in the finish. I like this beer very much. For a Midwest pilsner,, they have done a very good job on it.. I highly recommend it.

Fairly large, white head. Very few bubbles in this for a pilsner. A little darker than a standard macro. A little hops in the flavor. No Corn!! Still fairly light. I would take this over any BMC. A decent beer from a solid brewery.

This was aight but not great. Kind of plain and uneventful. I agree with Gurst when he said they’re breakin my heart with it.

Nice drinking German pilsner. Enough malt sweetness to satisify the sweet tooth in me, plus a nice blend of hops bitterness to keep the palate awake. This is one I get each time it becomes available in my favorite beer store.
