About:
Just a guy that realized in the later part of my life that there is great beer in this world, unfortunetly American National Breweries don't seem to know how to make them, or would rather make a buck then make a good beer.

In an era that has finally seen the end of area microbreweries getting away from IPAs, I am glad to see more dark beers. I am not sure what Point was going for here, making an ale that miminics a lager. But the end result is a of a disappointment. The malty sweetness seems to finish with a bitter note, leaving a bad after taste. IF you are a Black Lager fan like I am, I would pass on this one, or at least make it your 5th or 6th choice.

On a hot summer's day, after mowing the lawn this to me, is the beer to have. In a clean frosted it pours to a crisp golden yellow, very clear. Foamy head stays longer then expected. This beer lacks bold flavor but when it is hot out it refreshes instantly. It finishes clean with very little after taste. My favorite on those sticky warm days.

Better then normal hefewiess. I have had a few better but all around this is up there with them at times.. I say at times because I guess as with most bottle beers, it all depends on the batch. Wont bore you with the look and color.. its a hefeweiss, you should know what it looks like.

I must have hit a bad one but the 2 guys with me all agreed. This beer couldnt get past its overpowering oak flavor. I noted a bit of vanilla, but it was shortlived because of the feel of drinking a mouth full of oak shavings. I know it is aged in oak barrels, but really, I have had beers aged in oak barrels before and the oak compliments the flavor. With this beer it just takes it over and leaves nothing to the imagination. It poured to a slightly amber color with little head. Would I try it again... we all agreed.. no.

Light amber color.. with creamed coffee head that dies quickly, this ale is lack luster. Nutty notes that sort of hang around longer then you want. It is an ok ale.. wouldn't want it all the time. had bettere
