Contrary to its name, Cameron’s White Oat Savant is brown in colour, utilizing unique white oat malt to produce a rich, creamy addition to a classic Brown Ale. At a moderate 4.8% alcohol by volume, this smooth ale’s mahogany-brown body precedes hints of light fruit and roasted malts; a savory treat. With the use of chocolate malts, crystal and white oat malt, Brewmaster Jason Britton says this creates a ballad of cherry, chocolate and caramel to please your taste-buds as the oat’s silken embrace covers your mouth with velvety affection. It pairs well with any meal of the day.

650ml bottle. Pours a pretty large amount of frothy off-white head and has a dark amber appearance. Aromas of roasted malts, hints of toffee. Flavours of sweet malts, toffee and caramel. Medium bodied. Good retention. Decent for a lower abv brown ale but with enough flavour as to not be so bland.

Pours a deep copper-amber colour with a creamy-frothy beige head, good retention and thick foam-cream lace. The oat is a nice touch in the aromas covering the sweet caramel malts. It also adds creaminess in the mouthfeel. Roasted malt taste with some nuttiness, caramel and grassy hops in the finish. Hints of rustiness from this. Goes down very-well and this is one that is good for this size of bottle, to enjoy anytime.
