John Bell Hood was called “Old Wooden Head” by his troops for his tenacity and hard headed-ness. Our ale is just that. Full of hops (how many? we donʼt know) Full of Malt (we shut a whole field down) this extreme gravity beer will not stop until you surrender to itʼs amazing flavor.

    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

Comes out of the tap a beautiful clear golden amber with a fine-bubbled buff head that leaves generous lacing. Aroma is tres hoppy, resiny and evergreen with a firm fruity underpinning. Flavor floods the taste buds with evergreen hops, subtle fruity sweetness that nicely balances the hoppy bitterness, notes of green wood, citrus and malt. Superb! Firm texture is lively and fizzy, leaving a persistent tingle that gets even the lips into the act. Don’t be a wooden head - down a glass today.
