For a doppelbock, this is pretty lightweight. It wasn't malty at all. There are many doppelbocks out there which are far better

Smells much like chocolate and motor oil. Deep Dark maroonish black color with a hint of red when exposed to the light. Nice body, mild tart. Very good n smooth.

This brew pours with a dark brown body topped by a medium thick off white head with a decent amount of lacing. Slightly sweet and malty aroma with caramel accents and a touch of alcohol. The flavor is slightly sweet and slightly malty with caramel notes, a touch of hops and a little alcohol. Medium bodied and smooth with a slight warming character.
