Vintage 2006. Pours out in a clear reddish brown colour with a dense white foam. Big sweet malty aroma of almonds, chocolate sauce, caramel, brown sugar, brown syrup, alcohol, soy and dark bread. Full malty sweet flavour of caramel, fudge, caramel, fudge, nuts and brown sugar. Full, dense and a bit sticky mouthfeel. Long malty sweet finish of milky chocolate, nuts, rye bread and brown sugar.

Bottled@SBWF2007. Deep ruby/amber colour with mediumsized beige head. Aroma is slightly oxidized (in a Madeira way) along with big caramel malts and alcohol. Flavour is malty, alcoholic and dark dry fruity. Pleasant one.

500 ml brown bottle, packed in a cardboard cylinder, like a whisky bottle. Bottle No. P 1689, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. ABV is 11.8%. Very dark reddish brown colour, large tan head. Vinous sweet aroma with notes of raisins, oak, malts, molasses and caramel. The flavour is malty sweet with hints of oak and molasses, surprisingly moderate hops. Too sweet. Not that exciting. Probably better if cellared till 2016?
