An unfiltered ale, it has a distinct wheat flavor and a slight hint of citrus.

another boring beer. the aroma is slightly enticing, but there's nothing there of note. not a horrible beer, but average at best. i was really expecting more.

Spent my 11th anniversary up in the place where I got married and the wife and I decided to drop in to the brewery for lunch, where we could get some pizza and I could rate some new beer. I got the sampler order and this started it off. Aroma was practically non-existant. But after a bit of warming, I could pull off some diacytl and some slight vegetable. Nothing like an American Wheat should be, but then again..most American wheats suck. Appearance was brilliantly clear, yellow with a minimal white head. Mouthfeel was waterlike with little to no substance. Flavor was light, no real character to speak of. It too was almost like water. Nothing offensive other than the nose. If you need something cold to drink...drink water. This was closely treading on pale lager territory.

This 4-oz sample was served with a lemon wedge, which seems to be to the default serving method for any wheat-based beer these days. Of course, the first thing I did as throw away the lemon. If a beer can't stand up to close examination without the assistance of a lemon or a lime, then what do you suppose the beer has going for it, eh?
This beer, at least, does hold it's own without any extra fruit hanging off the side of the glass. But to be honest, this really could be so much more.
Way too clear for what I expect from a wheat beer -- that is to say, it looks a little too close to Miller High Life in appearence for my taste. Aroma is also a little too muted for my liking.
Flavor-wise, there isn't a lot here to talk about -- pro or con. Definately the brewpub's "easy drinking" offering, for the skiers coming off the slopes looking for Coors Slight, et al.
A very non-commital beer, that really had little to say for itself. I blew through this sample quite quickly, since I supsected that the other beers in the set would be much more interesting than this. And I wasn't too far from the truth. Take a pass on this, and make a run for the hoppier beers of this brewpub.
