Imperial Vanilla Porter Aged in Rum Barrels Twenty five is a unique beer celebrating 25 years of craftsmanship. The recipe starts with an imperial version of our popular Vanilla Porter, resulting in more prominent flavors and stronger alcohol. We then let the beer relax in rum barrels for 2 months with 1/4 pound of split Mexican vanilla beans in every cask. The result is luxury in a bottle.

Bottle - 750mL corked and caged. Aroma is sweet and slightly boozy with vanilla notes, toasted malt, caramel and soft fruit. Taste is boozy with softer vanilla, fruit, toasted malt, soft chocolate and caramel. Body is medium with a soft, bubbly carbonation. Sticky as well. Ends with more vanilla and booze, caramel, brown sugar, toasted malt and fruit notes.

Pours chocolate brown with a thick and rather persistent tan head. Aroma features rich notes of roasted malt, vanilla, rum and wood. Got me going Pavlov! Rum-soaked wood is the main player in the flavor, but gladly shares the stage with vanilla and roasted malt, as well as woody and molasses hints. Mouthfeel presents body that seems thin for a porter, though fizz is OK. Happy 25th Breckenridge, and may you celebrate many, many more!
