Roll up your sleeves and get to work in this Imperial Porter. Named after the 18th Century luggage porters in London, it’s been a well-deserved reward for the laborer for over 200 years. We put in the extra hours and doubled it for a Small Batch Series. Job well done folks, job well done. This beer is also know as Porter Porter

22 oz bottle. Pours a medium to dark brown with a smallish frothy off white head that quickly goes to a thin film that leaves some lacing.
The aroma is grains with some roasted chocolate and some caramel and dark fruit with a slight sour twang. Vinous notes come out as it warms.
The flavor is sweet chocolate malts with some lactose and some roast. It's pretty nice cold, but as it warms some odd notes come out - leather and plastic. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and a little watery.
Overall, an OK porter - it's a bit muddled with the grainy sweetness and off-notes. -

Pours a translucent dark brown with a foamy tan head. Fairly faint aroma of chocolate and a small hint of coffee. Taste is a little chocolatey with some caramel, coffee, and roasted malt. The 7.5% alcohol provides a nice warmth without being overpowering. Overall, pretty good, but not great.

Smells of Roast coffee and some chocolate and hops. Pours a pretty dark black with some tannish head. Medium to full body that is chewy and thick, good carbonation with a dry finish. Taste of coffee, alcohol, molasses, wood ands some hops... There are way too many good ones out there... very average.
