Really nothing special here, as mentioned it's pretty much your regular mexican style brew. Pours a bubbly golden colour with a white creamy head with good retention and lacing. Corn/malt/skunk aroma and pretty much the same for the flavor. I'll try this one again during the summer, I think it's one of those that can be better enjoyed in the sun and heat.

    Looks like gingerale...my daughter very aptly said it "tastes like club soda only nasty." Nothing interesting at all here, I'm afraid. Will not be buying this one again.

    The beer poured a very pale gold, translucent, with a thin white bubbly head. The aroma was grassy malt and weak floral hops and ample metallic tones. The mouthfeel was weak bodied with ample carbonation. The flavour was stale malt, metal, and acid. An awful beer.

    Twis is a classic example of overpriced swill. $13.95 for a 6 pack. I can add alcohol to yellow coloured water for a lot less, and may even get a better flavour. Avoid if you can.

    Alot of people are fooled by the name and actually think it is Mexican. They are surprised to learn that is actually a Canadian copy. That being said, Brava has all the qualities of Mexican brew, being light and easy to quaff. Not alot of interesstng qualities but enough carbination. Decent swill.

    Last of my 4 brews for this Tropical Beerfest night. So this one is the only non-Mexican one. Brewed in Canada by Lakeport as a premium Mexican style. Pours a pale yellow, same as Corona. The white head is creamier and the lacing is better than the other three beers tonight. Decent malt scent, much better smelling than the Sol (which had a barn thing to it). Same watery mouthfeel as the others. Good crisp taste of clean mild malt. Quite refreshing and better than all other Mexican brews, with a higher ABV % as well.

    To answer EyeChartBrew, at the time this beer was produced, yes there was a demand for a Mexican beer brewed in Canada. Corona sells really well up here, even in winter. Canadian beer drinkers are so sheep-like. This crap is on the same level as Sol and Corona. bland.

    Fascinating. Is there such a demand for Mexican beer in Canada, that a Canadian brewery would set out to make Corona-esqe swill? Yes, apaprently that is exactly the case. Heck, it even fooled my local liquor store owner, who had this beer in with the cans of Modelo and Pacifico. Peculiar regional and geographic issues aside, onto the beer itself.

    Dull head, but with some rudimentary lacing. Nuetral "don't ask, don't tell, don't prosecute" aroma. And for the flavor-profile? Malt-for-malt and hop-for-hop identical to most other Mexican overally-simplistic Lagers. That is to say, a lock-stock-and-beer-barrel clone of Corona. Only thing missing is the silly "I'm too wasted to answer my pager"-type TV commercials.

    Well, if this particular beer wants to be truly authentic, then please alow me to express my true feelings towards the brewer of this unfinishable crap:

    "¡Ojalá que enormes armadillos copelen en sus intestinos!" ¹
    //TB

    ¹ "May large armadillos copulate in his colon!"

    Pours a colour of apple juice with a sudsy head that dispersed quickly, leaving moderate lacing. Skunky aroma standard with most macros. Full mouthfeel and goes down very smooth, with a taste of corn. Very crisp though. A good job of emulating Mexican cerveza, but since it is still a Mexican cerveza... meh.
