On tap at the brewpub. Pours an average size frothy beige head and has a deep dark brown appearance. Lacing is ok. Aromas of roasted malts, hints of coffee. Flavours are also roasted malts, a bit toasty, some hints of coffee and cocoa, chocolatey as well. All very much on the subtle side, nothing too overpowering. Lively carbonation. Good retention. Drying and slick mouthfeel.

Pours a real dark brown colour, almost black, with a big creamy beige head that has great retention and nice full lacing. Roasted malt aromas with hints of chocolate and some decent yeast. The taste is milder with the burnt malts, chocolate malts and some light hops in the finish. This is actually surprisingly a good black pils.
