Pours a dark copper colour with a thick frothy beige head. Retention is great and lacing covers the glass. Starts off with a fresh coffee scent and added is butterscotch and some light fruits (dates, plums, apples). Slick mouthfeel with a medium-light body. Taste of roasted malts, giving the coffee notes, with mild caramel and hints of hops in the short finish. Not sure what style this beer "really" is, but I kind of like it.

Mondial de la Bière 2009. Poured in the brewery taproom a amber brown colored ale with reddish tones with a thin beige foamy head that had a mid sized retention. Nice lacing. The aroma is roasted malts with notes of caramel. The favour is a smoked bomb with a light sourness. The finish of this medium bodied ale is roasted grains. A solid brew.

Bottle: Poured a clear deep amber color ale with a rather large foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of caramel malt with some nice notes of toffee and molasses. Taste is more complex then I had anticipated with some rather nice notes of toffee, molasses and caramel malt. Easily drinkable with good carbonation and an average body.
